Dr Santanu Sarkar ( MBBS; MS, FIAGES;FMAS) is an eminent surgeon in north kolkata & north howrah. After completing his graduation (MBBS) from prestigious Kolkata Medical College & Hospital he completed his master's degree in  Surgery from same institution on 2011, then he joined " Saroj Gupta cancer centre & research institute ( Thakurpukur cancer hospital)" and worked there for 2 yrs then he joined West Bengal Medical Education Service on 2013 and worked as Assistant Professor of Surgery in Burdwan Medical College & Hospital till 2018, he did his fellowship in ‘Minimal access Surgery’ on 2016( FIAGES & FMAS) . He worked as visiting surgeon at different hospitals i.e AMRI (salt lake), Spandan hospital (Teghoria); UMRI( Baguiati); North dumdum municipality hospital; Binayak hospital (Sinthee more); Baine Hospital (Baranagar ) etc .He joined GNRC Hospital, Barasat as senior consultant surgeon on 2018 and worked there for 2 yrs. Currently he is attached to ILS Hospital ,Howrah as full time senior consultant surgeon and ILS hospital , Dumdum as visiting surgeon. He has done thousands of major & supra major surgeries successfully in the field of General Surgery; Advanced laparoscopic Surgery; Gastrointestinal Surgery & Surgical Oncology ( total 14 yrs of experience in the field ).

  • Completed Internship & one year House-staff ship in the Dept. of General Medicine from Medical college Kolkata on 2004-2006
